The primary objective of this project is to resume and complete the construction of the Etale Educational Development

Center, which commenced in 2018 but was abruptly halted due to a lack of funding exacerbated by the COVID-19

Pandemic. Despite the interruption, the pressing need for additional facilities has become more pronounced as student enrollment has surged, necessitating urgent action to fulfill the educational requirements of the community.

Etale Combined School currently accommodates approximately 800 students, spanning from pre-primary to grade 11, along with a dedicated team of 30 teachers and stall. The envisioned school hall will serve as a multifunctional space for various activities including school events, morning meditations, cultural ceremonies, fundraisers, parent-teacher meetings, speech and debate competitions, and additional classroom engagement opportunities. Presently, all school events are conducted under a single tree, which fails to adequately eater to the needs of the learners and staff.

Establishing a dedicated school hall will not only enhance educational flexibility but also foster cultural and community networking opportunities, enriching the overall school experience for students and facilitating community engagement.

Another pivotal aspect of this initiative involves the reconstruction of the school kitchen to facilitate a commercial-grade setup for the feeding program. This program provides invaluable sustenance to students through a daily meal consisting of maize meal, commonly referred to as traditional pap, thereby ensuring their nutritional needs are met, contributing to improved learning outcomes.

The comprehensive construction plan for the Etale Combined School Educational Development Center encompasses essential facilities such as a stage, bathrooms, classrooms, club spaces, and more. Funds raised will be allocated towards critical components including labor, construction materials such as bricks, electrical installations, large windows, doors, as well as essential furniture like desks, tables, and chairs, ensuring the holistic completion of the building.
